Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King was one of the greatest advocates of nonviolence in the American history. Dr. King used the power of words and nonviolent resistance to establish love and harmony in the society. In this quote, he conveys the message that if you are trying to drive out hate, you need to bring in the love. The point he misses here is that love is the default setting in all human beings, and hate is not. Human beings just need to understand this universal reality.

The default setting is of love and belonging in all human beings. Hate per se is not a characteristic of human beings and it is the fear that gets manifested as hate. Positive traits are the reality and their absence is the incomplete understanding of the self. Existence is full of love and abundance. Coexisting with other human beings and nature and creating beautiful memories in every interaction is the way forward.

Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King was a champion of civil rights movement, and his ideas were far ahead of his time and the society in which he lived. This quote  reflects his wisdom and courage to uphold the fading tradition of human beings' inherent goodness and kindness in the society.  He clearly aligned himself with the existential reality of coexistence and envisioned a harmonious society where the social stigma was obsolete.

To add to Martin Luther’s thought, human beings should not limit their compassion to racism, instead they should extend it to all the creatures as well as all the elements in the universe to re-establish an absolute harmonious coexistence. Human Beings learn from culture and tradition, they believe in what is taught to them. That is what makes them Human. This is the feature that has enabled them to create all the wonderful things on this planet. But the same is the culprit for the racist thoughts in individuals. They believe in what is taught by culture and at some point in life finds that it is not true and lacks basis in reality. As a result, they start seeking better information on the subject. Now when the knowledge of underlying principle of coexistence has been discovered for everyone to understand and validate, the concept of inequality, racial segregation and other forms of discrimination need to be erased from the tradition and education system.
